Suitcase Entrepreneur 30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 10


I joined the Suitcase Entrepreneur’s 30 Day Blog Challenge.

This is Day 10.




What are the key ways in which you want to make money online in your chosen business OR Which are the key online revenue streams you want to focus on in your existing business?




From days 1-9, I was convinced that I would pushing on my online business that would be based on an online magazine format. Although it is my forte and passion, I Ted-Mosby-Yellow-Legal-Padded my two potential businesses and found that it would take up much more – twice actually – time, effort and physical presence for me to pursue the magazine. 

It requires me to push the envelope in terms of convincing traditional companies to not online invest in online advertising but to advertise with us. Doable. Possible. However, it’s not probable given a very small window of time, low amount of resources and since my target advertisers are going to be more traditional- I would be required to show up in actual face-to-face meetings much more than I want to be.

The magazine isn’t scrapped. Oh, hell no. If it needs to be, it shall be a passion project down the line. But for now, it needs to simmer in the background until we finally concentrate on our mobile travel agency.

Before I create my 1-Page Business Plan and following Natalie’s video of the 3 ways you can earn online, I would like to tell you how all three will follow-through on my business.


1)  Selling your own products and services – As a travel agency, I see doing the very typical and active part of being a travel agency – selling the tickets, forming tour groups, booking hotels and resorts.

–          Also related to this, I intend to a dedicate, if it doesn’t turn out to be “too much,” a section of the website solely dedicated to being an online store with mixed products – those that are readily available for commissions like Amazon and other products that I have imported myself or have developed myself.


2)  Selling other people’s products and services – Of course, there are times when other travel agencies promote another agencies’ tour group/tour packages with a little bit of profit on top. We’ve had primary and 2nd-person experience with this so we sort of know what we are talking about.


3) Advertising for other people – As a travel agency who is also doing some online marketing to promote the tours, services and other products, I also intend on making the blog posts and other sections of the website profitable by allowing related advertisers to place ads.
